Happy Holidays

By viralfirm

Here’s my first post. Unfortunately, I’ve decided to start this blog right around the holidays, so this will also be my obligatory “Happy Angriest Time of Year” or “Merry Charlie Cristmas!” (as they say in Florida) entry. Congratulations to me. It’s definately that time of year; it’s cold outside, the roads are packed with traffic, and everyone I know is generally in a 24/7 state of agitation. This is just great, fine, and dandy, and I promise not to say a word more after this – atleast not until the next one rolls around in 2008. 2008…great, did you know these things come every year?

I don’t know about you, the reader, but I celebrate each Christmas watching the Charlie Brown Christmas special. I own the seasonal special dvd boxset; I bought it a few years back on DVD at Wal-Mart, and it’s just became a tradition since to watch it on Christmas day. Speaking of WalMart, anybody seen the anti-christmas shopping at WalMart campaign? I find the ad to be a bit ironic; I completely agree that WalMart is evil, sneaky, underbids it’s suppliers, and supports the corruption of China, but the fact still remains that WalMart is awfully cheap, and convenient. I humbly admit to you, dear readers, that I did some of my shopping at WalMart this season. Yeah…ouch. Moving backwards, I will be eating coca-cola ham along with this viewing of A Charlie Brown Christmas, before spending the rest of these days to come with family.
Ah yes. Family. This entry is seeming so cliched already, isn’t it? So I’ll just skip over jokes and rants and complaints (all involving sneaking hits of booze to cope with it all) and just get down to a very happy little narrow point…

If you haven’t seen it yet, this is perhaps the best new Holiday classic.

and of course,

Nothing says Christmas like Turtles.
